farewell from translacia

DSC02145Throughout Feburary Project is hosting an exhibition that divides the space into a living multi arts venue. It includes a small feature exhibition of local artist’s work, along with a collaborative installation, Translacia, that sees the main gallery occupied by a series of immersive sets conceived by elusive travelling artist, Chuck di Spose.Translacia is an environment that juxtaposes discarded elements of our everyday lives and repositions them into interactive studio spaces. The thematic sets are constructed from post-consumer waste, sourced from council clean ups, deceased estates and industrial refuse.

Chuck D’Spose has initiated a process driven space that invites artists and visitors to the gallery to creatively contribute to the installation, to paint, draw, collage, or to paste on the walls, or make artworks and postcards in the studios for the gallery to sell as a fundraiser at its closing party auction.

Project invites you to visit Translacia as an active participant or curious observer.

Translacia encourages collaboration, participation, creating, sharing, mark making, doing, undoing, learning, unlearning and fun. We are setting things off with an Art Jam this Thursday the 5th and will be hosting Live drawing sessions each Wednesday through the month post pedagogy

This interactive, freestyle creative hub is now active at project, lucky us and lucky you!
